ABOUT MRS. WALKER

Dear Families,

            Welcome to Third Grade! My name is Amber Walker. This is my seventh year teaching third grade, and my third year at Braden River Elementary. For my first four years, I taught at Bashaw Elementary. I am BEYOND excited to get the school year started! Third grade is a challenging but exciting year for your child!

            To start off, I would like to tell you a little bit about myself both personally and professionally. I am a natural born Floridian! I was born in Sarasota, Florida. A couple of years after I was born, my family moved us to Elizabethtown, Kentucky. This is where I spent most of my elementary years. Once I started middle school, we moved back down to the Sarasota/Bradenton area. I have been here ever since! I love reading on my free time and have a little obsession with reusable water bottles. I am a lover of ALL animals. I have a husband (Adam), a 7 year old daughter (Ella), an 13 year old bonus son (Emmitt), and a 3 year old son (Everett). We also have a furry child named Allie, she is our Australian Shepherd. I graduated from University of South Florida with my Bachelors in Elementary Education and my ESOL endorsement.

            I would to love to work closely together with you, and I believe frequent communication is vital.
